Originally known as The Tollgate built in 1664, it is believed to have been named THE WOODMAN INN (an oldie worlde pub) in around 1843.

We have sole use of the function suite. This venue offers cheap drink prices, ample parking and beer gardens for summertime fun. ALSO IT IS ONLY 2.5 MILES FROM J23 OF THE M25. THERE IS AN INLAID DANCE FLOOR and a 1am LICENCE.

The interior décor still retains many of the original 16th-century features of the building, from beautiful wood beams and low ceilings to period fireplaces. The Woodman Inn is a popular country pub with its traditional charm and although it has since had a 21st-century update it still maintains its appeal.

Come party at a warm and welcoming traditional country pub nestled in the picturesque village of Water End not far from Brookmans Park and Welham Green. Enjoy quality ales, fine wines and good company in the charming, beautifully decorated Grade II listed building.

Admission: £10 online or £12 on the door. Our parties are held from 8.30pm till 1am.

Directions – only 2.5miles from J23 off the M25:

From M25 Take Junction 23 onto Bignells Corner (Sign-posted Hatfield, Barnet, London)

From Bignells Corner, take the turn off for South Mimms Services.

Immediately bear left onto Swanland Road (Sign-posted South Mimms, Colney Heath).

At the small roundabout take the 2nd exit still continuing on Swanland Road.

You will pass Warrengate Lane on your right after a minute or two, take the next road on your right which is Warrengate Road.

The Woodman Inn AL9 7TT is near the end of this road.
